March Makeup Test & May SAT Test Cancelled
College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled.
Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds.
In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers.
Future Testing Opportunities
College Board will provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as possible in place of canceled administrations. We’ll be as flexible as possible to give students the best chance to show their skills and stay on the path to college.
They have not yet canceled the June 6, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration and will continue to assess its status, with the health and safety of students and educators as the top priority. They are also exploring the possibility of adding an international SAT administration later this school year.

Our Advice: The more structure your student has, the better. Period. End of story. They are used to structure, deadlines and milestones and if you take it away completely, they will struggle. We’re a huge fan of creative time, but also sticking to a schedule for at least part of the day. Without any rhythm at all they will get bored and impatient, among other emotions I know you’re experiencing. “Why should I bother? This is stupid” will be phrases that may be thrown around your house right now.
So give them one hour of test prep to do three times a week. There are some great online programs available, some better than others. Our favorite two are below:
Remember, college is a business, so life WILL go on when this is all over. Deadlines will be pushed, but your student will still have to take the test and do well if they want to get into their target schools.
Reach out if you want some more To Do’s with your student to alleviate boredom and family grumpiness in general.
Stay cool.
